Valentine's Day Hearts Banner

DIY Holiday Decor-Valentines's Day Hearts BannerHoliday Decor- Foam Hearts Banner for V-DayI love banners because they are cheap and easy to make. Therefore, I'll show you how to create a super easy, even though it takes some time, and fun Valentine's banner. This banner is essential to decorate your home for Valentine's Day. You will need glitter foam paper, colorful foam paper, red string, and a hot glue gun. First, you will cut out different sizes of hearts from the foam paper. If it is easier, use a cut out of a heart the size you prefer. Then you will glue on the hearts on one another in any combination you like. I created thirteen different combinations of hearts. Next, cut your red string to the size you prefer to have your banner. My string was about 52 inches long. When you layer out the string glue on your foam hearts onto the string about 4 inches apart. When your done hang it up on the dining room wall and dazzle up the table for Valentine's. Well, I hope everyone has a loving Valentine's Day.

*Frosty the Snowman*

DIY Holiday Decor-Lighted SnowmanA snowman is an adorable and festive snow sculpture that represents Winter and the holidays. So, why not make a snowman ornament that will be fun to brighten the mood of the holidays? Materials that will be needed are two oval glasses, buttons, eyes, two white socks, ribbon, q-tip, led votives, orange marker, sharpie, and any type of fabric. To create the hat of the snowman you will need to use any type of fabric and glue the ends together. Use a ribbon to tie one of the ends of the fabric and fold over the other end. Then take both of the oval glasses and stick each one into a white sock. Stuff the extra piece of the sock inside of the glass, however, if your using a larger sock cut off a piece instead. When you got the body of the snowman done you can start glueing on the eyes, buttons, and nose. All that is left to do is add the smile with the sharpie, add the lights inside your snowman, and put the hat and scarf for your snowman. Now that your snowman is warmed up for the winter you can turn plug in the lights. ITS ALIVE!! :) If you prefer a visual explanation on how to create this project check out my video. Lighted Up Santa Claus

DIY Holiday Decor-Santa Hat and BeardDIY Holiday Decor-Santa Claus Lighted UpChristmas is full of fantasies starting from Santa Claus and his reindeers. So, why not create a miniature Santa to maintain the holiday spirits. To create this adorable Santa Clause you will need white cloth, red fabric, fuzzy fabric, eyes, led votive, wine glass, and a hot glue gun. First, you will need to make the Santa hat. Start of by stitching the red fabric into a cone and with sew or glue on the fuzzy felt on the bottom of the hat. Make a round ball with the fuzzy hat to add to the top of your Santa hat. Or if it makes it easier you can just buy one. Then you will get the white cloth and cut it into the form of a mustache. Don't forget to cut out the mouth to your Santa. When you have created the two most important features to your Santa you can get started to create him. With the wine glass you will glue on the eyes. In the inside of the glass spread out the white cloth till there is no bumps. To insure that the cloth will stay you can also spread some mod podge in the inside and add the cloth. To dazzle up your Santa Claus put a led votive inside the glass and top it off with the hat on the outer rim of the glass. Or if you prefer you can use 20 mini white lights to light up the glass. Make Santa the star of attention by placing him near a window or anywhere else that needs decoration.

Christmas Ornament Curtain

DIY Holiday Decor- Christmas Ornament, Snowflake, Candy Cane Curtain
DIY How to Make a CurtainMost of the times we tend to decorate the whole house but we usually don't add any decorations to the window or door. I created a simple curtain that will look amazing hung up on a door or window. The steps to create this decoration is the same as the Curtain of Leaves post I made. Without further ado, you will need to get some green ribbon, a pack of candy canes, any type of ornaments, snowflakes, spray snow, string, and a hot glue gun. Cut out two ribbon to 24 inches and 7 strings in the same length. You will take your strings and glue them on the ribbon about 5 inches apart. When the strings have been attached you will glue on the other ribbon on top. Wait till it is dry to add the ornaments. In the meantime you can spray snow on both sides of the snowflakes. Next, you will tie the snowflakes and ornaments on each string and loop the candy canes on the same string of the snowflakes. When you're done you can enjoy the rest of the candy canes you didn't use.

Christmas Card Advent Calendar

DIY Holiday Decor- Christmas Advent Calendar
DIY-How to do a advent calendarI didn't know what was an event calendar till recently. I had gone to Target and noticed that they had an advent calendar for $15 and it was shaped into a tree. It was fairly simple and didn't really stand out, so I decided to make my own for only $4. To create this advent calendar you will need white ribbon, cork board, a pack of varied Christmas cards, wrapping paper, and a hot glue gun. If you don't have a cork board you can use cardboard paper or a foam board instead. To start of you will need to wrap the board in wrapping paper  like a gift and glue the ribbon in the top back of the board. Then you will take your cards and and cut out the back of the card. Fold the sides and the bottom of the front card. Add glue to the sides and paste it on the board, so it looks like a pocket. Do this with the next twenty four cards and write out the number of each day on the cards. When everything is all set and done you can hang it up and put chocolate or any other treats.

Christmas Ornaments

DIY Holiday Decoration- How to do a pinecone decorationDIY Holiday Decor- How to do a snowman ornament Well it's already December and most likely you already have your Christmas tree up, so why not create some ornaments for it? For this project you will need a pinecone, foam paper, spray snow, black construction paper, green ribbon, red and white braided ribbon, twine, eyes, toothpick, and two different sizes of styrofoam balls. To create the pinecone ornament you will need to tie the twine to the stem of the pinecone. Then just spray snow all over the pinecone. For the snowman ornament you will also have to spray snow all over the styrofoam balls. When it is dry you will stick the toothpick in the middle of both styrofoam. Cut out buttons with the construction paper and with the foam paper you will cut out a triangle for the nose. Glue on all the features of the snowman and glue on a green ribbon on the back to hang. To create the santa hat for the snowman you will just need to create a cone with red foam paper. With a white braided ribbon you will glue it to the bottom of the cone and use a smaller piece to add to the top of the hat. Personally, I liked the snowman without the hat, so you don't have to make the hat if you don't like. All you will need to put is a red ribbon for the scarf. Now that your all set you can put them up on your tree.

Giant Popsicle Stick Snowflake

DIY Holiday decor- Popsicle Stick SnowflakeHow to make a snowflakeWinter isn't anything without the snow, but it is too cold to be out, especially if you live up north. So, why not bring the snow to your home. These snowflakes are inexpensive to make and they look great for the holidays. All you will need to create these snowflakes are popsicle sticks, red paint, glue, and ribbon. You will first need to paint all the popsicles red or you can also paint them any other color. When all the popsicle sticks are dried you will need to glue them to each other from the back of the pattern you choose. Create any type of pattern you like, be creative! It doesn't only have to be snowflakes you can make stars, trees, or any other patterns. Lastly, when everything is glued you can glue on a ribbon to pin it on the wall or window. The Turkey

How to Make a Turkey for Thanksgiving DIY Holiday Decor- Thanksgiving TurkeyDIY Holiday Decor- Styrofoam TurkeyThanksgiving is one day away and I thought would't it be nice to have a turkey decoration, so I decided to make one. I made it for decoration, however, my nephew liked it and I gave it to him as a toy. I definitely think this project is kids friendly, plus its really fun and easy to make. Materials that will be needed is scissors, hot glue gun, foam paper, toothpick, eyes, two styrofoam balls of different sizes, and brown spray paint. If you don't have spray paint you can substitute it for brown paint. First, you will want to stick the toothpick into the middle of both styrofoam balls. Spray paint both of the styrofoam balls and let it dry. While you wait till it is dry you can start cutting out the tail of the turkey. Used different colors of foam paper to create colorful tail fan for your turkey. Trace your finger onto the foam paper and cut it out. Once you think you have enough feathers glue them all together. Use a orange foam paper to cut out a triangle for the nose and two irregular flowers for the feet. Use red foam paper to create a small hammer, which will be used for the wattle of the turkey. Once you have all the parts glue them to the styrofoam balls to create a your turkey. I hope you guys enjoy this project!! :)

Thankful Tree

Create a Thankful TreeDIY Holiday Decor- Thanksgiving Thankful TreeDIY Holiday Decor- Thankful TreeThanksgiving is usually the only time that we reflect on the things we've done and express our thanks for our family, friends, and having food on the table. Instead we should create a tree of thanks were we will write what we are thankful for. This is a more creative way to express our thanks, but it is a great background to take family photos. For tho project we will need scissors, tape, 60 leaves, red ribbon with a 2 inch width, brown ribbon with 0.6 width. Cut the red ribbon to 36 inches in length and 8 brown strips to 9.5 inches in length. Cut out a V shape to the end of all the strips. To the brown strips create a V shape to both sides of the strip. This is to add more dimension and not to make it look plain. This is a optional step, but I sprayed gold glitter to the red ribbon and to some of the leaves. All that is left is to tape everything into the shape of a tree. The red ribbon was used as the trunk and the brown strips as the branches. When the family comes over for Thanksgiving you can ask them to write what they are thankful for on the leaves.

If you have seen this cute paper pumpkins I will show you how to make them. They are super simple and they look great as decorations. What you will need is ribbon, construction paper of any color, a hole punch, and scissors. First, take the construction paper and cut it vertically. Make sure the width is at least an inch wide. I used about twenty stripes to create the pumpkin. Now stacked them together and create a hole in both edges. What you want it to look like is a bow. Now all you need to do is spread the strips to make a complete circle. To complete the pumpkin just add a green ribbon and make it look like a stem. Also, I wanted to spice up my pumpkin, so I added a leaf to mine. You can put these pumpkins on a table or you can hang them up.

DIY Holiday Decoration- Thanksgiving Banner using Leaves

Materials Needed To Create Thanksgiving Banner
The Thanksgiving banner is really simple to make and doesn't need a lot of materials to make. Materials that will be needed are eleven leaves, spray glitter, black sharpie, white ribbon, hot glue, and newspapers to  spray the leaves. The pack of leaves, can of spray glitter, and the ribbon I bought at the Dollar Tree.
Be Thankful in LeavesHow to create a banner using leaves
The first thing would be to lay out the newspapers and then lay out the leaves. Spray all the leaves fully with the spray can and let them dry for about 5 minutes. After the leaves are dry write out "Be Thankful" on the leaves. I used sharpie to write it out but you can use sticker letters instead of the sharpie. When you finish with this step get you glue gun ready and ribbon to put the leaves.
DIY Holiday Decor- Ce Thankful BannerDIY Holiday Decor- Thanksgiving BannerYou can always customize this project to your liking, for example, you can use bigger leaves then the one I am using. Well, I hope you liked the project and have a thankful Thanksgiving.
